Verbatim's Latest 3.5" Hard Drives Shine

Verbatim, the storage media specialist, is continuing its product offensive with the announcement of its new range of high-quality External Hard Drives. The new HD drives in 3.5-inch format offer storage capacities of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB with a USB interface, and weigh less than one kilogram in total. With their elegant, black design and unusual front panel, they also cut a fine figure at any workstation. Verbatim's new 3.5" HD drives are currently available from Verbatim stockists nationally.

The 3.5" External HD drives from Verbatim are the perfect choice for users who want to store large volumes of data reliably and yet at the same time remain mobile. "Verbatim has the ideal background in terms of product quality and expertise in the External Hard Drive sector. With our new models, we are also unveiling an innovative design with a striking front panel and we've cut the weight of the hard drives to a meagre 961 grams- just under half the weight of the previous model," said Tracy Myers, Product Manager- Computer Accessories, Flash & Hardware at Verbatim Australia.

The external 3.5" Hard Drives now make backing up data from laptops or PCs particularly simple for users: with handy plug & play functionality, they are ready to go instantly without any need for installation. Thanks to an internal high-speed SATA hard drive offering 7,200 rpm and data transfer rates of 480 Mbyte/s, Verbatim's new hard drives are particularly strong performers, storing even large volumes of data reliably.

Amazingly, the complete line of new 3.5" HD drives, with the ability to store up to 1TB of data, do not require special fans, since they obtain adequate cooling through ventilation slits in the casing. The hard drives are accordingly quiet in permanent operation. The External HD drives have a convenient on/off switch on the back side with LED lights and can be placed conveniently and with a small footprint on any desk.

The new range of Verbatim 3.5 HDDs come with Nero BackItUp 2 Essentials software included, delivering professional-standard data back-up with a raft of customisable settings. Users can thus protect their data against loss quickly and reliably.
