Australian Packaging Covenant
As part of the Verbatim commitment to being an environmentally responsible company, Verbatim is a signatory of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC). The APC is a voluntary government-industry initiative with the objective of minimising the overall impacts of packaging through sustainable design.
Globally, Verbatim has a number of measures in place to reduce the impact that our company and products have on the environment. With our energy-efficient policies and the use of environmentally friendly materials in our manufacturing and packaging, we continue to find ways to increase the sustainability of our products and help to make a brighter future.
As a brand owner signatory, Verbatim is committed to the sustainable design, use, and recovery of the packaging we use for our products. This commitment has already seen dramatic reductions to the amount of plastic used in our packaging. We have also almost doubled our freight efficiency by reducing the weight of our packaging. Our end goal is to ensure that no further improvement in packaging material efficiency is possible at the present time, considering interactions between the packaging and product without negatively affecting the functionality or legal compliance.
We are continuously assessing new packaging to ensure that there are no further steps we can take to reduce the impact on the environment. We also do regular assessments of our existing products to ensure that they are keeping up with the technological advancements being made in packaging sustainability.
